Well, I cannot beleive I am five days away from my due date! We are at the point where we just want to see our baby now! Mark and I are getting soooo excited! He totally wants to book Friday off and not see any clients but I told him not to do it. Who knows, I'm probably going to be a few days late.
Right now, we are just both enjoying our last week of good sleep....I have been napping a lot as my energy seems to be low lately. I mean I can still go out and walk and toodle around the house doing all the nesting stuff but after that I just feel sooo tired! Mark is usually pretty good at noticing it before me and he just tells me to go and take a nap.
We didn't do much this weekend. We just took it easy and watched the hockey games. That was pretty insane though...Mark was so scared that it was going to make me go into labor. I just couldn't control my emotions when watching the games that Mark even video taped me screaming and being so stressed out watching the game! It was pretty funny! I could totally feel baby kicking so much while we were watching. Hopefully it's not bad for baby hearing Mom screaming her butt off! Anyway, I hope that Calgary plays much better in the next game. I mean don't get me wrong, last night they played well and hard but it was just too late...they should have been doing that in the first period! Anyhoo, enough of hockey...it's too much for me to handle right now!
On to other things....well I'm going to try to do some work today, go outside and enjoy the sun and probably nap some more.....maybe I'll try to make the Chocolate Chip Banana loaf that Jenn made at my baby shower at work. It was soooo good! As you can see, life is so hard being prego :)
I am enjoying every minute of it! I know I will have more wonderful times ahead.

Week 39
My week 39 has been somewhat filled with nerves and restlessness. I guess it's normal to feel this way when you're almost due. I went to the doctor's yesterday and so far so good. I am measuring at 36 cm's and baby's heartbeat is at 140 bpm. I have also been feeling heavier and more pain in my lower back. I guess to be expected as well.
Yesterday was a great day. My friend Angele picked me up for lunch and we went and had some Vietnamese food at Bagolac Saigon. It was sooo good and it was great to visit with her. We then headed to the mall after that and bought a few girly needed stuff. It's was fun to hang out with her especially since she picked me up in her new car and drove me around for the afternoon.
She dropped me off after and I had a nap with the puppies. We then went out for a walk because it was such a beautiful day yesterday. And then, my girlfriend Heather called me and I met up with her at the Cactus Club. She is 5 months pregnant and looks totally amazing! I was so glad to meet up with her and see her as well.
All in all, my Thursday was great! Got to visit with friends, take it easy and enjoy life before baby comes.
Anyway, I'm off for another nap before I tackle recycling and cleaning my car today.

Week 38 Update
What a beautiful day! Mark and I went to the park with the dogs after breakfast (11 a.m.) and it was so nice to just be out there and enjoy the day. Today, I have decided to stay home, pack my clothes for the hospital, take a nice long nap and just put my feet up! My main goal for today is to relax! From the ample amount of stuff I did yesterday, I deserve to not do much on my second day off of work. 
Anyways, I weighed myself last night and I reached 158 lbs! but when I weighed myself this morning I was back to 154 so maybe it's just the water retention thing. Here's a picture of me at week 38. I can totally tell that baby has dropped....not dramatically but I have noticed the difference. It's funny looking at my pictures though...it seems like I stuck a basketball inside my shirt...my tummy is soooo round! It's going to be a girl for sure! I know, I know some of you are probably disagreeing with me but my gutt tells me it's a girl!
Well to all my blog friends, I hope you are doing well. Please feel free to drop a comment or two when you're not too busy :)

First Day Off Work
Wow, what a busy day for me! I thought I was going to relax but I guess not. I am finally able to sit down today and actually blog. I guess it can be considered my relaxation :)
I hope to be better tomorrow. Mark tells me to make sure that I make time for myself to just read, nap and relax but I didn't get to do that today.
First off, I thought I was going to sleep in till 10 in the morning but I didn't. Instead, I woke up at 7:45 a.m. and started my day by walking the puppies, feeding them and then having breakfast with Mark before he was off to train clients. I then managed to do other unnecessary things around the house and was finally out of the house by around 2 p.m. today. I stopped by work and picked up the rest of the paper work I needed to apply for EI when I'm on Mat leave. After that I decided to head to IKEA and boy did I ever shop! I can't remember how long I was there but I was bagged by the time I had to go to Costco. I still pushed myself though and went and bought the whole costco store! Oh well, almost! by the time I came home it was already 5:30 and I hauled everything in the house.
After that, I took the dogs out for a walk again and fed them and put all the baby clothes in the dryer to dry. Then I washed dishes and started making supper. Tonight we are going to have chicken lasagna, breadsticks and salad. Man I can't wait! Phew! I am exhausted....I know I am because I'm feeling emotional again. Oh well, what a day! If this is not my nesting day (which I hope is not) then I wonder how the heck that day would be?! Anyways, I hope I don't go into labor tonight. I don't have the energy to do it! I keep on telling myself....lesson learned but I still end up doing too much!
Anyways, I'm going to try to relax tonight and not do anything!

38 weeks and counting!
Well everyone.....no baby just yet :)
At 38 weeks, I am feeling big but feeling great as well!
If I can walk about 7 km's in one day then I must be feeling really well. This weekend I took my parents to the secret park where we take the dogs and walked about 3 kms around the park. Right after that I decided to meet Mark at Park 96 in Parkland to watch him play a round of disc golf (18 holes) which totals to about 4 km's. That was a lot of walking for me in one day for sure. Let's just say that I slept like a baby Saturday night :)
My parents came down on Thursday night for to visit us for the weekend and it felt so good to see them. It was good to see my Mom too considering I haven't seen her in 4 months due to her very long vacation in the Phil. Anyway, she brought us a tonne of baby clothes, some for boys and some for girls. We'll just see what baby will be dressed in a couple of weeks here I guess. They also met Mark's parents which turned out to be great! I wasn't sure what the outcome would be but it turned out really well. Mark and I also finished putting up the borders in our baby room. It is now set and ready for baby!
Anyway, I hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend. We did a tonne of relaxing and some entertaining. I didn't realize how draining it is though to entertain when you are pregnant.
Nonetheless, it was a great weekend!
Tomorrow is my very first day of not working! yay for me! This is to all my co-workers who are checking my blog....(I'm sorry in advance) but I will be thinking of you all when I'm sleeping in till 10 a.m.! he!he! I know, I know....it won't last long! I have to at least enjoy a week of relaxation before baby comes!
Anyway, must go have a snack now! Talk to you all soon!

Last Day of Work
Well, I can't beleive how I have finally made it to my last day of work!
I have mixed feelings about it actually. I love what I'm doing at work and I hate to leave it but I am also soooo pregnant that it is painful to sit all day now. I am feeling more tired as the days go by. I went to see my doctor this morning and she measured me at 35 inches. Last week I was at 37 so baby must have moved down (which means I'm right on the money). My doctor told me I've had the perfect pregnancy so far. Yeah right! How come I'm feeling all these pain then? anyways, I'm right on the books and baby is healthy at 145 bpm. Hopefully my labour will go well too.
Anyways, my work threw me a baby shower yesterday and it was so awesome! We totally got spoiled with so many baby gifts that we needed! Thank you all for coming! Especially to my friends Carla, Steph, JF, Jenn and Lucas :) It meant so much to me to see you guys there. But I also appreciate all of you who came and celebrated with me. It shows that I have been blessed with so many friends at work. I will miss you all!

Last week of work
This is my last week of work and I am so releived! I can't beleive I made it this far being able to work while I'm pregnant. Oh well, it's been tough especially since I got sick last week but I'm almost over it now.
Lately, the bed has been my nemesis. I just lack the energy to do anything I want to do but when I try to go to bed, it is hard for me to sleep. I am feeling too much pain in my lower back, hips and everywhere else plus add the not being able to breathe well because of being too stuffed up. Early yesterday morning, I woke up and told Mark I couldn't sleep because no matter which side I tried to sleep in, I would get that cramped feeling on my butt and hips! So Mark tells me to go and toodle around to help make it stop and so I did! (It was pretty funny - the word toodle around) but I just walked around the house and of course, it stopped. :)
Also, are you a mouth breather when you sleep or a nose breather? Well, I am a nose breather and I think it's the only way to go. Since I have been sick though I couldn't breathe through my nose! Mark tells me to breathe through my mouth but I hate doing that (I always end up drooling!). Yeah.. yeah, you can now call me and make fun because I have been doing that since I got sick :) All I can say is that I can't wait to be able to breathe through my nose again!
Mark and I started our border for our baby room last night and it looks great. We just didn't have the energy to do it all last night but we will try to finish it this week. I can pretty much go into labor anytime now....we are thinking it might be next week but who knows, I might be over due. Oh well, this is week 37 so a couple of weeks should be nothing! I also weighed myself yesterday and I am back down to 154 lbs! crazy!
Anyways, we have started baby training with the pups using a Winnie The Pooh doll and it's pretty interesting. Please check Mark's blog for more details about it :)

Happy Birthday Mom!
Today is my Mom's birthday and I am dedicating this blog space to her. She just arrived from the Philippines yesterday and we're all glad that she is back safe and sound. When she says she's going on a vacation, she really meant it.
She has been away for 4 months just enjoying life and I'm so glad for her. She totally deserves it....next time though Mom, you can take us all with you :)
Anyways, I will be seeing them next week and I am so excited to see family. I haven't seen any of my family for awhile and it's amazing how much you miss them.
Well, I am still sick too. I had to call in this morning because I didn't get much sleep last night. I still managed to go to work in the afternoon though. Hey, can anybody lend me their nose? Mine is so red and it hurts so much! I am definitely looking forward to getting better soon...hopefully by Sunday.

Where is the Sun?
Remember in my previous blog how I was writing about how much I love the rain? Well, it's been a rainy couple of days and now I'm craving for the sun!
Typical prego brain heh...cmon girl, make up your mind :)
Anyway, my doctor's appointment went really well today.
Mom and baby are happy and healthy...as usual.
She couldn't give me any drugs for my cough and cold though...she said that it's the worst time getting sick now because I cannot take anything for it. Oh well, I guess lots of rest and vitamin c will just have to do. Mark is actually going to make me his homemade Chicken Noodle Soup tonight (it's soooo good) I'm sure it will definitely help me get better!
I weighed myself yesterday and I am now at 155.6 lbs!
I am probably going to hit 160!
Right now my feet and legs are soooo swollen.
I was pretty amazed how big they were that I even decided to take a picture of my feet!
I'm also feeling some Braxton Hicks contractions now! I guess I'll just have to get used to that too.
Anyway, that's it for Thursday!
Sorry Chunlee for cancelling our dinner date tonight. For sure I would love to get together with you for sushi hopefully next week ok.

Me so sick
It is 12:20 a.m. and I should be in bed 3 hours ago...but after I went home from work today, all I did was sleep so I'm quite awake right now.
Jenn, thank you for the beautiful poem. Mark and I read it and we were teary eyed. Very true indeed. It made me realize that I should be enjoying every moment baby is inside me instead of focusing on the pain and discomfort that I'm feeling right now.
I am now officially sick too which really sucks. I was doing really well but I guess weather changes and too many people being sick doesn't help me any. Oh well, I'm just trying to get better now. I have my weekly doctor's appointment tomorrow morning and I'm glad to be able to see my doctor. Maybe she can give me some good drugs? (Just kidding)

Gotta Love The Rain!
There's something about rain that makes me feel good inside!
I don't know, maybe because it reminds me of being back in the Philippines when I was a kid. Whenever it would rain, we always found ourselves playing outside enjoying the warm tropical rain. It was such a blast! I'm sure some of you can relate :)
Anyway, I'm still not feeling 100 percent today. I'm actually tired! Good sleep is so hard to come by lately and I feel it during the day - especially when I'm at work. Speaking of work, they have started a baby pool for me and I was counting it today and most of them think I'm going to have a girl! My sister dreamt that I had a girl too...I guess we'll just have to find out soon enough. My feeling is that I'm going to have a boy -- but we'll see. I just can't wait to see my little angel. It's so worth it though not finding out until the end....I think it's the best part!
I am going to this 'New Baby, Old Pet' course tonight. I hope I can make it there on time. It starts at 7 - 9 p.m.. Man, this day is dragging by already. Hopefully I will learn a thing or two to help deal with the dogs when we bring baby home. I know it's going to be tough at first adjusting especially with two dogs but we'll manage...for parents who have pets...any helpful ideas you can give me when dealing with baby and dogs? I would greatly appreciate it.
My Mom finally comes home tomorrow night from the Philippines. Yay! It feels like it's been forever. Well, it's been about 4 months...so that is like forever. It is her birthday on Friday too so it's perfect timing for her to come back. I'm sure my step Dad will be happy to see her.
Anyways, I think I'm going to work 1/2 day today and that's it for me....really feelling like crap. I'm going home after lunch to rest.

36 Week Update
Wow! it's hard to beleive I only have less than a month left!
Baby movements are definitely stronger now....and I now weigh 154.8 lbs! (who am I kidding....might as well round it to 155 heh :) Anyway, I'm still waddling to work....2 more weeks and I'm done.
Mark, puppies, baby and I had a wonderful weekend! I got to see some great friends (Steph and JF's housewarming party and Lesley) and plus we won the hockey game! yay!
And oh, I got April fooled by my step Dad....he gave me a call and told me that they are not showing the game anymore because the early game didn't start until late and CBC decided to show the Toronto game instead of the Calgary game. Boy, did I ever freak out! and then he added - 'On April Fools Day!', that's when it dawned on me that I just got fooled! oh well, it was pretty funny! I have to hand it over to you Bill, that was a very good April fools joke!
Anyways, I'm not feeling 100 percent today - - hopefully I am not catching anything.

Baby movements are definitely stronger now....and I now weigh 154.8 lbs! (who am I kidding....might as well round it to 155 heh :) Anyway, I'm still waddling to work....2 more weeks and I'm done.
