It's the Final Countdown!

Isn't my title the worst song ever?! :)

I am now at week 31 and I seem to be floating around 145 to 146 lbs. I guess it just depends when I weigh myself. Still feeling aches and pains all over my body. I look forward to walking and getting fresh air with Mark and the pups. Note to self: Must book myself for another massage.

Anyway, this weekend was pretty fun. Mark and I went to Loose Moose (improv theatre) and met up with his sister (Evie - for her 26th birthday) along with Gord (Mark's brother) Kara (Gord's wife) and Karen and Greg (Evie's friends). I saw my old co-worker (Darryl Ebertz) there too but he didn't see me and I didn't have a chance to go say hi as we had to leave the theatre right after the show to pick up Mark's friend (John Zimmerman) from the bus depot. He just came from a week of snowboarding and partying in Golden and he stayed over at our place that night. Anyways, we ordered pizza and him and Mark stayed up until 4 in the morning drinking and reminiscing. I stayed up till 3 in the morning which was enough for me. It was good to hear them laughing downstairs though. I was so happy that Mark was able to spend time with a good friend from Victoria.

Saturday was pretty melow as we had to recuperate from staying up too late (and Mark from having way too much to drink). We had a long nap in the afternoon and then we decided to take the puppies to our secret park and we had such a blast! We love watching the dogs run full speed up and down the snowy hills. I did manage pretty well considering I'm 31 weeks prego. Mark then made us the best chilli for supper and ended up watching a movie that night. (I just love mellow days like this) I guess I better enjoy it now while baby is still in my tummy :)

Sunday was good too. I tried to work on my school project which pretty much took the rest of my afternoon but I got some pretty cook ideas. Hopefully, I'm able to make it work. Oh well, 2 more classes to go and I'm done! yay! I am sooo excited! We headed over to Mark's parents place for Evie's family birthday dinner and it was great to see them again :)

anyways, it's time to go home....hope you all had a great weekend!

Ciao for now,
K

10th Week Update

10 weeks left and counting! Last time I weighed myself I was at 145 lbs! I probably weigh more now as week 31 is just around the corner. February is almost done and I can't beleive it! It is harder to walk, sit, stand or do anything for long periods of time....you know...like sleeping! (I can't beleive that is so hard to do when you are pregnant!)Anyway, the reason behind my counting weekly is that it makes it seem shorter somehow instead of saying 2 more months to go! I don't know, for me 2 months seems forever!
Anyway, Mark and I are getting so excited! Baby is moving much stronger these days....like in the Alien movie! I now start to see my doctor every 2 weeks because I'm starting my 30th week. Pretty scary but exciting at the same time!
Sorry I haven't had time to blog lately. I have been non-stop since I decided to go to school. Oh well, 3 more classes to go! Yay! I can't wait! After that I am relaxing for sure! no more extra curricular activities! All I have to do now is finish this other website for Michael (realtor) and no more extra work outside of work! Mark tells me I am a chronic over doer! man, he is so right! I just can't help it. I'm sure my Mom passed it on to us coz she's the same thing. Thanks mom!
Anyway, I have been getting lots of cool things lately. Like an mp3 player from my awesome friend Angele. I cannot beleive she just gave it to me! I was so surprised and happy. She is totally the sweetest girl! I can't wait to use it! Thanks Angele! You're the greatest!
I also got a 17 inch monitor for only 10 bucks! can you beleive that?! Now I can actually program at home with 2 monitors instead of one! yay! what a deal! thanks Daniel for hooking me up! I know, I know...I'm such a geek! he!he!he!
And one last thing that I got is this Wacom Graphic Tablet (it's like a mouse/pen and you can do so many things with it) I paid full price for it of course but I am now ready to start making cool graphics from using this tool!
I think that's pretty much it...I must now shop for more 3rd trimester clothes!
ciao for now!

11 More Weeks to Go!

Week 29
Well, I haven't had a chance to measure myself or weigh my self yet...maybe it's a good thing considering I'm having a hard time tying my shoe laces, forgetting my winter coat up North.... and (yes Jenn) my belly button is now an outtie :), aaannnd I'm looking more and more like the penguins in the "March of the Penguins movie"!

Oh yeah, I have also now discovered stretch marks on my lower belly (I think this is where I scratched my tummy - or am I just in denial? that my miracle cream is not working for me!? aaahhh panic attack!) oh well, it is bound to happen I guess....so I might as well accept the fact that I will probably have them so might as well learn to love them! Hey mom's out there, is it true that if you scratch your pregnant belly that you end up getting stretch marks from it? OR do you ususally get the stretch marks after giving birth or do you see it while you're still pregnant?! Okay, okay, sorry.... I'll stop obsessing about it now.

Update on Last Week
Hmmnn....where do I begin....last week was definitely a tough one. With me not feeling 100%, going to school and working full time I was due for a breakdown. For those of you who read my previous blogs, remember when I said that I'm probably going to end up crying my gutts out and then feeling better after?! well, it happened thursday and friday! Two days in a row! I couldn't beleive it?! all I kept thinking yesterday was I felt sorry for Mark for having to witness all of that! I was thinking that he was probably glad to get away on friday coz I know that I would be if I were him...I mean, who wants to be with a cry baby anyhow?

Thursday was just a hard day for me...I couldn't remember why I had a melt down but I guess it was just from not feeling well and the lack of sleep and just long days that I had from going to work and then to school right after that.

As for friday, that was a different story...I only worked for a half a day because I had set a goal to get the rest of my divorce papers processed and finalized and to go do the gestational diabetes testing before leaving for Edmonton. Well, I decided to head to the downtown courthouse first and low and behold I get a biatch to help me out. She didn't really help me because I had to go find a photocopy place downtown because I needed 5 copies of this one document...so here's me... prego lady scurrying to get this done before the parking meter runs out...when I got back she was just giving me attitude! so now, I pretty much had it when she tells me I'm missing another document...I discovered that I had left a very important document at the registries that needed to be included with the rest of the divorce documents! So needless to say I was not going to make it to my testing and let alone get everything completed by the end of the afternoon. (Note to self: do not be over ambitious especially when you are pregnant!) I walked to my car and burst out crying while I was driving at the same time....I then headed to the registry place to pick up the document I had left behind. Thanks to an angel, Joey (even though he is such a weird guy), he just called me when he saw me (told me I didn't need a number) and he fixed everything that needed to be fixed with my documents. Anyways, to make a long story longer I got home just before Mark had to leave for Fernie and I cried my gutts out! Talk about emotional! I was insanely crazy emotional! Yup, I bet he was glad to leave!Anyways, I did manage to feel better after crying it out. Lesson learned for sure. Let's just say that I am now an expert when it comes to filing your divorce papers. At least the last step is now done and all I have to do now is wait 6 to 8 weeks and I will be free! yay!

A trip to our past
The weekend ended up to be awesome! I was able to see most of my family and celebrated Ron's 30th birthday (my brother in law). We cooked a huge Filipino feast at my sister's place and snarfed it all! Saturday night, my cousins (JR and Joey) came over along and so did my brother Ian and his girlfriend Gabrielle. We all watched a video of the places that they visited including our hometown where we grew up. We were so amazed at how different some things are and yet some things never change...for example, our aunts house (where we grew up)...it seemed so big but now it seems so small even though it never changed! We saw some beautiful places that I would love to go see when Mark and I plan on visiting there (with our "E") of course :) All in all, it was great to spend some time with my family.

Hey, if you have some time, check out this site about the Beauty of the Philippines...it's a good one: http://www.tommyschultz.com/

Anyhoo, I guess this should be good enough blog for now...I know it's not too exciting to read but I feel that I needed to let it out. That's what blogs are for right :)

Happy Valentines Day everyone! Stay nice and warm!

Oh, the weather outside is frightful...but the fire is so delightful.
And since we've no place to go....Let it snow! Let it snow! Let it snow!

(Ha!ha! now it's in your head!)
ciao for now!

The rest of my updates for Week 28

Well, I forgot to mention how much I weigh at 28 weeks from my previous blog...here goes.....

I now weigh 142.6 lbs! which is about 24 lbs I have gained so far. In the babyfit website that's where I'm suppose to be so I'm right on the money!

Phew! I was starting to get worried there because some people have been telling me that I'm too big for where I'm at but what do they know right? I won't mention any names or say any nasty things about this person because it might come back and bite me someday. Oh well, se la vie! the most important thing is that I am healthy and my baby is healthy too. And, Mark measured how big my belly is and I am now 40 inches round :) he!he! Now that I can say is huge!

I forgot to mention how the rest of my weekend went....I guess you can just check out Mark's blog because he pretty much said what I wanted to say: http://theesh.blogspot.com/

Enjoy!

Start or Week 28

Today is the beginning of week 28. I can honestly say that I felt pretty crappy starting yesterday. It seems as though I am coming down with some sort of a flu but am trying to fight it. So far I have been feeling more tired and feverish. I don't want to get sick! I can only imagine how hard everything is when you are sick and pregnant. I will try to take it easy again tomorrow and hopefully whatever is making me feel this way will just go away.

Today was pretty melow too. Mark and I went to Ikea and picked up stuff for our home gym and by the time we got out of there, we were both drained! I pretty much passed out after that for a half hour because I was just so tired. We did manage to buy a few needed things for our gym though and we were so happy because it is almost done! All we need is a bench and the stereo hooked up and we are set! I am so proud of Mark for doing such an awesome job! Anyway, the pictures should be up real soon.

Oh yeah, I talked to my brother today and they are home safe. I was so happy to hear his voice and so glad that him and his girlfriend (Gabrielle) are back from the Philippines safe and sound. A little jet lagged but it's expected. I will see them next weekend! yay!

Anyway, Sammy is whining so I must go and see what's up.
Till tomorrow....good night everyone!

I Miss Bloggin!

Yeah, I haven't blogged much lately. Starting last Monday, most of my days were spent at work figuring out a 3 day flash problem (which I finally solved by Wednesday btw), going to school, and trying to get some quality time come 10 p.m. when I finally get home to see Mark and the dogs and then crash hard by 11:30. It's been harder than I anticipated but fulfilling nonetheless.

Fulfilling because I was able to figure out the flash issue by myself, fulfilling because I'm learning so much in class and it's so much fun, and fulfilling because I get to come home and be appreciated and loved by Mark and the pups.

I'm so glad that the first week of school is over though. Tonight, Mark and I are going out on a date! yay! We're going to our favorate sushi place (Sushi Ginza by Windsor Park) and I can't wait! Plus it will be so good to just hang out and spend time with him. He has been so busy himself doing all this fitness presentations and seeing clients later on in the evening that we barely had time to spend some quality time after work this week. So I'm definitely looking forward to tonight.

Anyways some updates on what else I did this week...my doctor's appointment last Monday was a success! At 27 weeks, mom and baby are happy and healthy. Baby's heartbeat was 160 bmp and the doctor said that it must be a girl because the heart is beating so fast. Usually if it's a girl the heart beat tends to be faster than boys. Anyways, she told me she is only 50% right so we'll just find out if she's right in a few months I guess.

Oh yeah, we finally took pictures a few nights ago so here is moi at 27 weeks! Pretty big heh! anyways, last time I weighed myself I was at 140lbs! so I'm a rolly polly for sure. My next appointment is the gestational diabetes testing which is next friday. It is suppose to check how high my blood sugar level is right now and the test usually takes about an hour long. Not looking forward to it because I think there's needles involved but I guess I better get used to that too!

We are also planning on finishing our gym this weekend so I'm very excited about that. Maybe we'll take some pictures and upload them when we're done.

Also, my brother and his girlfriend are coming back this friday from their long holiday in the Philippines! I'm so excited to see them next weekend. Mark is going to fernie to do some skiing with his buddies and I'm going home to see mi familia!

Anyway, I'm getting hungry so I better get some food in my enormous belly (lol)

Ciao for now,
K
