Monthly Letter

To my little warrior,

Happy 10 month old birthday!

I cannot believe how you will turn 1 in a couple of months. There are lots of milestones that you have reached and we are amazed at every one of them. I can't explain them all tonight because Mommy is just soooo tired sweetheart. You are a ball of energy and it is hard to keep up sometimes. I love you like crazy though. You are worth it my son. Everyone that meets you seems to describe you as a 'Happy' kid. And yes I agree.

You have become a social butterfly. You make people smile and laugh and gush all over you. We went and celebrated your Auntie Evie's birthday and you had such an awesome time.

Hangin out with Auntie Evie and Uncle Chris

They love you so much buddy!

You really like your Uncle Chris

Kara's baby...Dawson. He is the biggest cutest dog I've ever seen!

You seem to like Uncle Gord's drink....you are very good at drinking from a glass/cup...I'm so proud of you!

Grandpa was trying to baby proof the place but you didn't let him.

Grandma's little angel :)

By the end of the night you were pretty spaced out. You just kept on looking at the candles and didn't know what to do. All in all it was a very fun birthday. Happy 27th birthday Evie!

Your Dad and I will do the silliest things just to hear you laugh.

You are becoming your own little character. A smart one too. Today you figured out how to escape from our little play area by crawling under the bench. That's probably why I'm so tired :) You have been falling a lot lately too and bonking your head everywhere. I guess it's just normal for little busy bees like you. Your two upper teeth have finally come out and you have been grinding them constantly with your two bottom ones. It is very cute but I'm sure it's not good for you. I'm pretty sure that you will be walking pretty soon too. Can't wait to be your walking buddy :) Anyway kiddo, I am so proud of you. I love you with everything I have.

Family Day and Micah pics

Hi all,

Happy Family Day! Ours was spent in Canmore. It was a fun filled day. We checked out a nice trail, did a little bit of shopping and had a nice lunch. Micah did so good. He was smiling and saying hi to strangers in the restaurant and it was so so cute! It makes us really proud to be his parents. Anyway, here are a few pics.

Hope you had a good one!

K

As you can see, Micah's lower lip is in much better shape today compared to last night. What a releif!

His new thing that he does....he pulls out all of his toys in his toy box. He actually already fell in the toy box the other day when it was almost empty. All I could hear was him crying and all I could see were his two little legs up in the air. What a silly monkey!

And some pics taken in Canmore. We were wishing that this was our place :)

First Blood

Micah drew his first blood injury today. We were over at his Grandma and Grandpa's place for dinner and lo and behold, he hit his lip on the table when he lowered himself on the floor. Poor kid had a fat lower lip by the end of the night. Hopefully it will be better tomorrow. We'll have to wait and see. Stay tuned for some pics.

Hard to keep up

Hi all,

Sorry for the long blog delay.....again. It seems like I have no time to blog lately.
With Mark's shoulder dislocation, I have been on the go from the time I get up to the time I hit my pillow (this is probably because of my type A personality). The only time it seems that I get to sit down for awhile is when I am working on my website for my business......and that's after Micah is in bed around 8:30 or 9 at night. I guess I have to get used to it because this is how it's going to be for a long time. I just need to find balance somewhere. Can someone give me a piece of their balance or adivice to find one?

Anyway, Mark is getting checked up on Tuesday to see if he is going to need surgery or not. Either way recovery time is still a few weeks without surgery and a few months if he needs surgery. That being said, he cannot use his left arm to carry anything that is heavy (like Micah the 20 lbs. handsome baby) plus he is left handed too which sucks pretty bad. I don't blame him for being bummed out lately. He still tries to help me out which is pretty impressive! Hang in there Marky!

The other night while I was talking to my sister I mentioned that I wanted to be locked in a cocoon for an hour! Do other Mom's feel like this too? do other Moms just not stop moving all day or is it just me? I know, I sound pretty cranky right now. I wish my family lived closer so I can get a break. Anyway, se la vie! I will stop complaining now. It's probably coz I'm sick, Mark is injured and Micah is teething. Even though it seems pretty tough right now, I am thankful to have such an awesome, loving and happy family.

Speaking of family, my little warrior is doing amazing. He is BUSY!!! I cannot leave him for a second. The other day, he was doing his stair climb and he fell 2 steps up and he now has rugburn on his nose....poor kid. I only turned for a second and that happened! Lesson learned on this one. No worries, it will only happen once. Thank God he was only a couple stairs up.

Anyhoo, it is getting late. We are having our Mom and Babies group at our place tomorrow. Very very excited! Stay tuned for some fun pics!

Ciao for now,
K

Update

Hi all,

We're still here! We have just been so busy with things lately.

First and foremost, our new ride! You like?! It was a really good deal and it checked out to be in great shape after the inspection. Thanks for Markey for buying it for us. No car payments! yay!

Micah and I sure do love it! I know, I am officially a minivan driving Mom....and you know what I love it! I feel so much safer in it and it is so much easier to move Micah and his things around.

As for our little guy, he is adorable as always and growing like crazy! He now loves to cllimb up our stairs (his new found exercise) and loves to stand up all the time. He figured out how to open the cupboards too so another thing to baby proof. We have recently acquired a playpen from my sister and what a life saver! Of course we don't put him there all the time but it's nice to have when you have to do something important like go to the bathroom or go out and brush off the snow on your vehicle. He can also distinguish 'light' and 'ball' and 'Mom' and 'Dad' and 'CasCas'. AND last but not least he is pretty close to having two of his upper teeth to come out. Anyway, I will let the pics do the taking. Here are a few of his latest pics.

Some pics from out trip in Edmonton last weekend

Last but not least, the best pics of all! Dad and Micah having their nightly bath.

And oh yeah, I finished Mark's new flash website (www.velocityfitness.ca)......and then I've been busy coming up with content for my website (www.owndesign.ca). Really hard thing to do....content!

Anyway, Markey just dislocated his shoulder so I have to go tend to him right now. Poor baby!

Hope all is well with my blog readers out there!

take care and ciao for now!
K
