Monthly Letter

To my little warrior,

Happy 11 month birthday! I wasn't going to miss this day to post my monthly letter for you. I am in awe of how much you have grown in the last couple of weeks. You are going to be 1 year old in a month! Yikes! I am somewhat stunned at how fast 1 year has gone. I am having the most amazing time of my life raising you my boy!

You have reached so many milestones in the past couple of months that it is difficult to keep track. Firstly, you are now able to cruise around when you are close to furniture or a wall.


You love looking out the window and banging on the glass. You seem to like to hang out by the gate now too which is not a good thing. You willingly throw your toys down the stairs and jibber and jabber away!

You are still my speedy little crawler (which is fine by me) At least I can still keep up to you. I can only imagine how fast you will be when you can walk by yourself.

You love reading books. Sometimes I find you reading a book (well, more like flipping the pages) and blabbing away. It is the cutest thing! You have this specific talk when you are reading and I just smile away when I hear you because I know what you are doing even when I'm not looking.


Lately, we have been going out to enjoy the baby swing in the courtyard. You love it! And I love watching you enjoy it. Today, you even gave a little cry when I pulled you away from the swing. Oh well, more of that to come, I'm sure of it :)


You have been really good around people. This Saturday we had about 14 people at our house to celebrate your Dad's bday and you did really well. We were scared at how you would react to that many people around the house but you were a social butterfly. You have been good with your little friends too. It's been fun watching you interact with other kids.

I think you and Canyon are going to be great buddies!



You are now able to say Dada when Dad is around and call me 'Mama' when you need something :)

I also gave you a haircut a week ago and it totally makes you look like such a little man! So very cute and so very handsome!



There are so many that I'm forgetting but I just wanted to let you know that I am so proud of you my boy. And so in love with you too!

A Challenge

Calling all Moms and whoever else that wants to participate on this challege! I am planning on running the 5K race on Mother's Day! Well actually there's Mark (running 10K and with Micah in the Chariot) and my girlfriend Angele is running it as well. So I urge all the Mommy friends that I know to come join us....and whoever else of course that is up for this challenge......Mommy or not! I ran the 10K race a couple of years ago and it was so much fun.

Hey if you're not a runner, you don't have to run it, you can walk it.

Think about it ok. You have a month to train for it :)

Yes, it feels like forever since my last blog with some pictures of my beautiful handsome son. As promised here are a few from our Panorama trip.

We had so much fun swimming with Micah at the Fairmont Hot Springs. It was the perfect weather to take him swimming! Love the Hawaiian shirt and his new swim trunks.

My sister took care of the kids one day which allowed me to go snowboarding! I was so happy! Freedome for a day! yay!

And to end our trip we had an awesome dinner at the Heli Ski restaurant which overlooked the whole Panorama hill.




Ok, that's enough pics for now. I will upload more later :) Anyhoo, I must admit that Mark and I are really loving Panorama. We went there last summer and had a blast. There are beautiful beaches to swim in during the summer, mountain biking, skiing, snowboarding, the hot springs and so much more. It is definitely a great place to escape the city.

And yeah before I forget, I would like to thank my awesome girlfriend Angele who took care of Cassy while we were out having fun. She stayed at our place and walked her so many times during the day, took her out for runs and pretty much got really really spoiled! Aaannd she even had the time to clean our house! Washing the walls and cleaning our bathroom. I told her that we should go away more often :) Thank you Angele. You are so awesome!

Just a quick note

Sorry all for the long blog delay....been busy setting things up for Own Design lately and I've hit a few road blocks already.

Our trip to Panorama was a success! We all had a great time, I got to snowboard and MP had the time of his life.

Finally, My website is done!

Man what a workaholic Mark and I have been for the past few weeks! It's like every night I'm working on this site and Mark is working after work creating programs for his clients. You can really tell my stress level by the amount of zits on my face. Oh well, hopefully my face will start clearing up now. We have been insanely busy! Me trying to look after MP during the day and working on my website at night. Mark getting so many new clients that he is working 12 hour days and coming home and being the best Dad ever! I would not trade this for the world. It is exciting to start my own business. Hopefully, I will be able to find balance between my personal life, being a mom and now being a business owner.

Our hard work will be paid off this week as we are off to Panorama for a 4 day holiday. Yay! a very well deserved one. It will be great to hit the slopes again. My sister and her family are meeting us there on Friday so that she can babysit the Pants and I can go board!!! Yahoo!
