My late July monthly letter

Dear Micah,

Belated 15 month old birthday my boy! I'm sorry this letter is a little late sweetie. I want to let you know how precious each day is that I spend with you. Every morning is a new adventure. I look forward to picking you up in your crib and starting the day with you. You have been sleeping 12 to 13 hours every night and your Dad and I are loving that. Hopefully it will be like this for awhile :)

You have been spending lots of time in the water this month. You love it! you are such a fish! We have been to the spay park, the lake, the river and of course your little pool on the back.

You also figured out that you can run with your little powerful legs. And you run everywhere and especially after Cascas. She is constantly finding places to hide from you.

You have been into climbing things too. You love climbing onto chairs, boxes, benches and the stairs.

You also like to sit on things. Your favorate spot right now is sitting on the stairs. You like to hang out there with Cassy, or play with your toys or read your books. And if you see anything that you can sit on you do not hesitate to sit on it.

You have been getting really good at figuring things out. Like putting things in and out of your truck. Playing with the legos and figuring out how they stack up.

Your are loving playing with your balls too. I always have to bring a spare ball in the van because whenever we are at the park or the lake and you see a ball, you are determined to go after it even though it's not yours.

You are starting to figure out that you can throw little tantrums towards Mom or Dad and it's pretty cute. Of course, we just laugh and wait until you're calmed down. I know I say that right now because it's just minor tantrums...hopefully we won't have to deal with the major ones like the kid next door. He is pretty good at throwing some big tantrums. I guess we'll just have to see about that.

You are starting to understand words more now. I ask you to give something to me and you do. Or find something like your book and you actually go and pick up a book and hand it over to Mom. Or something like show it to Dad and you go over to your Dad and show it to him. Recently I have been pointing to the helicopter when it is over us and you totally get excited and point to it as well. You are becoming so smart my love.

You love to imitate what we say and do so we now have to really watch what we are doing around you. Hopefully your Dad and I are doing the right things and making the right decisions for you. We only want what is best for you my baby.

Anyway kiddo, I wanted to get this up before the end of the month. I say it's better late than never.

I love you my little warrior.

From Mom
