Hard Day
Today is the hardest day that Mark and I have ever faced with our son. He was fine in the morning and then he started after I put him to bed for his nap. He woke up crying 20 minutes into his nap and he didn't stop crying late in the evening. I thought he was getting better already but we just hit the worst part. He cried in the afternoon, wouldn't eat or drink anything and pretty much continued on until around 6:30 when we finally decided to take him to the doctor. We went in to the walk in clinic by Heritage and boy that place was busy! Of course, Micah was crying the whole time we were there so we decided to go wait outside instead. At this time he gave us the biggest burp and he seemed to felt a little better after that. We decided to take him home instead of waiting forever. We fed him and put him to bed and cross your fingers that tonight won't be as bad as what we experienced during the day. He still has a fever but handle-able. We will watch him closely though and see if it breaks tonight. Man, it is so hard when your kids are sick! Gotta go...he's up again!

Update
Hello all,
Sorry for the long delay. It's the first time that I actually decided to stop working before 11 so I decided to use this time to give an update of what's up with my busy life.
First and foremost an update of my little boy. He is sick at the moment but is getting better everyday. He is as cute as ever! He can now say the words: "Star", "Dow" for Window, Dah for Dad, Mum for me, Cas for Cassy.
He likes to give the biggest smiles that melt you to pieces. He is kind of running now...well picking up speed.
Lately, he has been loving being outdoors
...AND playing with his soccer ball.
He is also loving the spray park. There's a couple that we go to. One is at Park 96 and the other one is at Glenmore Reservoir.
He is having lots of fun with his Dad.
He loves to eat pretty much anything.
He can now distinguish some of the things that we tell him. Like "night, night" - -he knows that it is time for bed and he gives his little whine :) Or give Cassy a treat -- he will actually walk to the cupboard where we keep Cassy's treat, takes one or two and hands it to Cascas. He's been really good at mimicking things that we say and do. Yup! we are now at the Monkey see Monkey do stage :) I am loving my time with my little guy. It is such a fun stage and I wouldn't miss it for the world!
Second, an update on my little business. I am almost done 2 projects and am ready to launch them pretty soon. Very very excited to do that. It's been tough sailing but worth the work and the late nights. My clients are pretty happy with it so that makes me happy. Stay tuned for more future updates.
And last but not least, I am excited to be heading up North for a week starting this coming weekend. Yay! it will be so nice to see my little niece, spend some time with my family and get some much needed relaxin at the farm!
take care everyone!

Jenn, I know you tagged me with a good meme last week....I'm still thinking of the 4 things ;) I will have to get back to you on that :)

First Kiss, First Hair Cut, New Summer Wardrobe
First Kiss
Today marks the beginning of the first kiss (I'm sure many more to come) that Micah has experienced from a 16 mo. old girl. Since it was such a very nice windy warm day in Calgary...Micah Pants, Cascas and I decided to head over to the Glenmore Reservoir spray park. There were lots of kids there as some kid was having a birthday party. Micah was enjoying walking around checking things out and watching other kids run around screaming and playing and more running. Anyway, we were just minding our own thing when this little girl walked up to Micah, blabbed away and walked right directly towards his face and kissed him!!! It was the cutest thing I've ever seen. Lo and behold there was a pause from my handsome little boy and next thing I hear is a loud "I just don't know what happened But I sure did NOT like it" cry. It was pretty funny. We hung out in the park for awhile and the little girl (Lauren) just kept on following us. Oh man, it's just the beginning I'm sure.
First Hair Cut
Mark and I were trying to be talented parents by cutting our son's hair with kitchen scissors while he drinks his milk before bed. Yeah, very wanna be hair cutters. Anyway, one thing led to another and we ended up using the shaver. Micah didn't know what to expect. He was actually ok at first, no crying just looking back at the noisy machine that keeps on going over his head. By the end of it, Micah was pretty much clinging to Mom wanting Dad to stop. After the second bath, he came out of the tub looking handsome as ever....AND feeling pretty fresh I'm sure :D Short hairs for the summer for my guys! yay!
New Summer Wardrobe
Last but not least I went crazy and headed over to Southcentre for a little retail therapy. Well....not a little but $300 little. I came out of there with a new summer dress, new swimsuit (God knows I so needed one), 2 shorts from lulu, shorts from Gap, 1 nice summer/casual pants from dynamite and 4 summer shirts from Gap! Not bad heh!!! oh and I got me some very nice/sexy summery sandals from Aldo! Old clothes to Saly An - New Clothes in Krissy closet. woohoo!
P.S.
Micah's new haircut pic will be posted soon! Stay tuned!
